Cision Group Personal Pension Plan

Cision provides a defined contribution pension plan through Legal & General, which allows you to save and invest for retirement. Your pension fund also provides your loved ones with additional security. If you should die before you retire, the full value of the fund will be paid to your beneficiaries, typically free of tax.

Eligibility

To be eligible, employees must:

  • Be aged 22 or over
  • Be under the State Pension Age
  • Work or usually work in the UK

Automatic enrolment: Opt-In

Cision offers an automatic enrolment pension scheme in accordance with the requirements of Pension Act 2008. All new joiners are auto enrolled on the third month of their employment to be part of Cision’s Group Personal Pension Scheme at the rate of 5% employee and 5% employer.

If you wish to start contributing sooner you can log into Zest and request to Join.

Please remember: If you wish to ‘opt out’, you will need to do so by visiting Zest > My Pension > Opt Out.

Contributions: Yours and Cision’s

Employees must contribute a minimum of 5% of their base salary to receive the 5% contribution from Cision. You can opt to contribute at a higher level if you wish.

In addition, your contributions are made via Salary Sacrifice which helps us save on our employer National Insurance (NI) contributions, and we will pass back 50% of our employer NI saving, increasing your pension scheme contributions significantly.

You may increase your personal contribution at any time during the year by visiting Zest > My Pension > Pension Information.

Signing up online is one of the quickest and most convenient ways that you find the information you need about your pension, savings or investments. To register for Manage Your Account, all you’ll need is your pension account number which you’ll find on your pension documents including your annual statement.

Once online, you’ll be able to search our help and support and frequently asked questions, which may help to answer your query immediately.

Health Care Cash Plan

Our Healthcare Cash Plan provides you with help towards the cost of everyday health care expenses. Benefits covered include dental, optical, physiotherapy and a health & wellbeing benefit that covers a vast range of complementary therapies.

Here’s what you need to know about your health cash plan, provided by Medicash:

  • Cision provides you with Level 1 cover from the start date of your employment.
  • You are not eligible for the Cision covered benefits if you are covered by Cision’s PMI policy. However, you may elect to purchase cover if you wish.
  • You have the option to add your partner and/or upgrade your level of cover at your own cost. Premiums will be deducted from your monthly salary.
  • Up to four children under the age of 24 can be added to the plan for free. Covered children share an annual limit between them.
  • Dependents can be added but only as a new joiner or during the annual enrolment window, and they must be on the same level of cover as the employee.
  • Please be aware that once you have selected this benefit you will not be able to make any change until the next annual enrolment window.
  • As this is a benefit in kind, you will be taxed on the premium the Company pays towards your cover, which is taken at source through your monthly payment.
  • Benefits cease when you are no longer an eligible member of the scheme and/or when you cease to be an employee of Cision.

What action do I need to take?

If you do not opt-out of this cover in the selection window, you will remain on cover until the next renewal.

Important: your dependents are not covered until you add them to the plan in Zest.

Life Assurance

Nothing in life is guaranteed and Life Assurance makes sure that you are prepared for anything unexpected in life.

In the unfortunate event you pass away while working for Cision, your chosen beneficiary will receive a one off, tax-free, lump sum payment of up to four times your annual basic salary (up to the age of 75). The cost of the benefit is paid by Cision and there are no Income Tax or National Insurance liabilities and/or issues.

What options are available?

The standard life assurance provided by Cision is in amount of 4 times your annual salary.

You may choose to purchase a higher level of cover, in exchange for a reduction in salary (salary sacrifice). This means that your gross salary reduces in return for a benefit.

As you automatically receive this benefit upon joining Cision, you will need to ensure you have named beneficiaries in Zest. You can amend your instructions as often as you need.

Steps to update your beneficiaries in Zest

Follow the steps below to access your account using the provided credentials.

  1. Navigate to cision.okta.com/app/UserHome using your preferred browser
  2. Zest will show up as a tile under “My Apps”.
  3. Navigate to my beneficiaries (refer to photo below)
  4. Update and save your beneficiary information.
