Time Off

Cision provides generous time off, and we encourage you to use it. You also receive paid holidays and company breaks.

Vacation

Vacation is granted on an anticipatory basis, this means that entitlements are granted in full upon hire and at the beginning of each new policy year before the days are earned. New employees may begin to use their vacation time upon completion of the 3-month Probationary Period. Review full policy here [PDF].

Personal Days

In addition to the holidays listed above, Regular Employees may take four (4) Personal Days. Personal that do not carry over into the next year and are not paid out. Days may be taken at any time, but only with the prior approval of your Manager. Review full policy here [PDF].

Summer Hours and Early Closure

In addition to the time off policies, Cision is pleased to have a summer hours program in which all sites will close at noon on the day before the summer statutory holidays (Victoria Day, Canada Day, Quebec National Holiday / Civic Holiday and Labour Day). This is subject to change each year. Review full policy here [PDF].

Sick Days

Except as otherwise provided by provincial or local laws, Cision provides all Regular Employees with six (6) sick days that can be taken each calendar year, subject to certain guidelines and restrictions. Review full policy here [PDF].

Maternity & Parental Leave

Cision recognizes the importance of key moments in our employees lives such as welcoming a new child into the family. As a result, Cision offers paid parental leave associated with the birth of an employee’s own child or the placement of a child with the employee in connection with adoption or foster care. Cision recognizes the emotional hardship created by a death in the family. Bereavement leave provides employees with paid time off during this difficult time. Review full policy here [PDF].
