I am leaving Cision, when do my benefits end?
Cision’s benefit termination policy will be that benefits end the date your employment terminates with Cision. Please refer to Cision’s Departure FAQ that will be provided to you by your Human Resources Business Partner for more detailed information on benefits and COBRA enrollment.
I am a new hire. How do I sign up for benefits?
Benefit enrollment is completed through Benefitfocus. To access Benefitfocus, navigate to OKTA>>Benefitfocus. You may also access Benefitfocus through the mobile app.
To access the benefit enrollment wizard, go to OKTA>>Benefitfocus>Get Started.
Please note:
- Continue through each benefit offering choosing to elect or waive the plan until you reach the end where you are asked to click on submit/confirm. Your election is not completed until you press submit.
- Once you submit your elections, you will receive your confirmation page. READ the top of the confirmation page for possible additional steps. SAVE AND PRINT the confirmation page for your records.
I have a qualifying life event. How do I change my current elections?
Human Resources needs to be notified within 31 days of a life qualifying event along with the supporting document of the change.
To access the life event benefit enrollment wizard, go to OKTA>>Benefitfocus>>I want to change my benefits.
Next, choose the qualifying life event reason from the drop-down menu and enter the effective date as the last day of coverage, or the newborn’s date of birth if adding a newly born dependent.
Note: Benefitfocus doesn’t allow for future dating of benefits. Please wait until the date of coverage loss to submit your life event. The coverage is retroactive to the date of coverage loss.
What is considered a qualifying life event?
The following are examples of qualifying life events/family status changes:
- Change in Marital Status (Marriage, Divorce, Death of Spouse)
- Change in Number of your Dependents (Birth, Adoption, Death of a Dependent)
- Termination or Commencement of employment by spouse, or dependent
- Change in employee’s work hours
- Significant change in your family’s health care plan coverage (Through your spouse’s health care plan)
- Turning 26 years old and losing coverage through a parent’s plan

Where do I find my vendor’s contact information?

My insurance vendor’s login information is not working.

When will I get my insurance card?
Medical insurance cards are mailed within 2-3 weeks of enrollment. In the meantime, you are able to print out a temporary card by registering on your MyQHealth online account.

You are also able to download the Quantum Health app on your phone to always have a virtual card on you!
Regarding Dental and Vision insurance, an insurance card is not provided. Instead, the Social Security Number is used as the member ID. You may also be asked to provide your date of birth.
When will I receive my new Pharmacy / OptumRx card?
There isn’t a separate pharmacy card. It is joined with your MyQHealth medical insurance card.
Where can I see my current benefits?
You can view your current benefits on OKTA>>Benefitfocus>>Benefits. Ensure that you are looking at the “Active” Status benefits.
I am traveling internationally on company business, am I covered in the case of a medical emergency overseas?
Cision does have an international business travel insurance through GeoBlue for use while traveling on company business only.
Please keep the Cision GeoBlue card handy for use while traveling internationally on business.
I would like to learn more about the Education Assistance program.
Please refer to the Education Reimbursement Guide and the Education Reimbursement Form to learn more about the program. (link to forms)
Education Assistance is available only for classes at accredited colleges, universities, technical schools, and other entities of higher learning that are directly related to your Cision career path. The course must be a graded course with a pass or fail grade. To be eligible for the Education Assistance program, employees must work full-time and have been employed for 12 months.
For any other courses crucial to your role, please consult with your manager on what options your department can offer.
How do I make a Donation Match request?
Through the Matching Donation Program Cision matches employee donations to 501(c)(3) organizations up to $200 total. Employees can donate to a charitable organization at any time. A matching donation will be made once employees provide a PDF receipt of the donation along with the completed Donation Match Request Form to HR at HR.Support@cision.com.
When and how can I start my 401(k) contributions?
You will become eligible to participate in Cision’s 401(k) eligibility immediately effective your date of hire.
In an effort to make savings for retirement even easier, Cision offers an automatic enrollment feature within 30 days of your eligibility date. If you have not made a deferral election, you will be automatically enrolled in the 401(k) plan starting with your first paycheck after the effective date of the automatic enrollment feature. These automatic contributions will be 6% of your eligible pay each pay period.
Cision’s match amount is equal to 50% of the first 6% of the employee elective salary deferral. Cision’s match is vested over 4 years.

How do I change my 401k contributions?
You can make changes to your elections at any time on Fidelity’s website www.401k.com or by calling 800.835.5097.
If you are a recent hire, Fidelity will send you an enrollment email on when you can make your elections.
When will I see my 401k changes on my paychecks?
Processing of 401k contribution changes may take up to 2-3 pay periods.
How can I change my HSA contribution?
HSA contributions can be changed at any time on OKTA>>Benefitfocus>>I want to change my HSA contribution.
Employees who elect the HDHP plan must create an account with WEX in order to access HSA funds.
A new hire who elects this benefit must contact WEX directly to activate set up the account. Without an activated account, the contributions cannot be processed and thus, will not appear on your HSA account. If the WEX account is not activated, the deductions made through UKG Pro/UltiPro will potentially not appear in your HSA account.
How can I change my FSA contribution?
Medical FSA and Dependent Care FSA changes can only be made during open enrollment or a qualifying life event change.
Transit/Commuter FSA changes to monthly elections can be made on OKTA>> Benefitfocus>>I want to change my transit/parking FSA. This can be done at any time, notwithstanding open enrollment. Please note that the full monthly contribution is deducted from the first paycheck of each month.

Who is eligible for Maternity Leave, Short-term Disability, and Paid Parental Leave?
All U.S. Cision employees who are full-time are eligible for the above-mentioned leaves.
What is Cision’s Paid Parental Leave Policy?
Cision offers 6 weeks of leave to all secondary caregivers and fathers that can be used in minimum 1 week increments within 6 months of eligibility. For details on how to open a paid parental leave claim, please review Cision’s Paid Parental Leave Guide.
What is Cision’s Maternity and Primary Caregiver Leave Policy?
Maternity and Primary caregiver leave duration is 14 weeks for all birth mothers regardless of delivery type and all Primary caregivers regardless of sex.
To ease the transition of your return to work, Cision is offering all mothers and primary caregivers returning from leave the ability to work four (4) days a week for the first four weeks.
What is Cision’s Short-term Disability Payment Policy?
Payment while on short-term disability due to an accident or illness will be as noted below:
- Week 1 – Elimination Period – this would be sick time that you would enter in UKG Pro for the first 5 business days that you are out on leave.
- Weeks 2-14 – Paid at 100% of base salary + a rolling 12-month average of your commission (if applicable).
- Weeks 15-26 – Paid at 66.67% of base salary. Short-term disability commission is not eligible during this period.
What is the Baby Cash Bonus?
To celebrate you and your new addition to your family, Cision will pay you $1,000 in ‘Baby Cash Bonus’ on the last paycheck of the month following your full-time return to work from maternity or paid parental leave. *The payment is made once per baby per family. If both parents work at Cision, there will only be one payment made per baby.
What is Cision’s Jury Duty leave process?
The Company realizes that it is the obligation of all U.S. citizens to serve on a jury when summoned to do so. All employees will be allowed time off to perform such civic service as required by law. Employees selected for jury duty will receive their base hourly rate or full base salary, less the amount received from the court as jury pay, for up to ten (10) days (or more if required by applicable law). Additional time off for jury duty beyond the first ten working days will be unpaid (unless the employee chooses to apply available PTO to the absence or applicable law requires otherwise). Absence for jury duty, paid or unpaid, will not be counted against an employee’s attendance record. The Company may require proof of court attendance.
The days served must be captured on UKG Pro/UltiPro as a Time Off Request. Ensure that “Jury Duty” is chosen as the type of request.
What is Cision’s bereavement leave policy?
The Company recognizes the emotional hardship created by a death in the family. Bereavement leave provides employees with paid time off during this difficult time. A regular employee will be excused from work based on the following criteria:

Where circumstances require, bereavement leave can be taken consecutively or intermittently after informing your manager. Additional unpaid time off may be granted at the discretion of your manager.
If you wish to take bereavement leave you must notify your manager immediately of the need to take such leave. Also, it must be entered as a Time Off request on UKG Pro/UltiPro. Ensure that “Bereavement Leave” is chosen as the type of request.
