2025 Open Enrollment
Welcome to Cision’s
Open Enrollment for 2025!
Open Enrollment is officially open from Thursday, November 14 through Friday, November 29! This is your annual opportunity to review, add, or change your benefit elections for the 2025 plan year through UKG.
No Increase in Employee Costs on any plans for 2025!
We are thrilled to announce that, despite rising healthcare costs, Cision is absorbing the entire increase in benefit costs for 2025, saving you anywhere between $450 – $1,300 in premiums for the upcoming year. This means you will pay the same premium rates for your medical, dental, and vision coverage and any ancillary benefits as you did in 2024. Our goal is to minimize the financial burden on you and your families while ensuring continued access to comprehensive, high-quality benefits.
For context, Cision’s continues to contribute 70% of your total healthcare costs, significantly offsetting the total cost of your healthcare. Additionally, even if you do not enroll in benefits, Cision’s robust offerings still provide substantial value through fully company-paid benefits that are available to you as an employee. This commitment represents our ongoing investment in your wellbeing and the value of our benefits.
Medical Plan Change
There are two changes to the plans for January 1, 2025:
- Cision has made the difficult decision to eliminate coverage for weight loss drugs effective January 1, 2025, so any fills after December 31, 2024 will not be available through the plan. Any members impacted by this change will receive a letter from Optum in November.
- Both HDHP (Value & Saver) plans will no longer have a waiver of the deductible for Behavioral Health services received via Teladoc. Unfortunately, the federal legislation through the CARES Act has expired, so those services must now be subject to the deductible.
As a reminder, the details on the medical plans can be found here (no changes to deductibles, copays, etc.)
There are no benefit changes or cost changes to the dental, vision, life insurance, disability, accident, critical illness, pet, legal or identity theft plans for 2025.

Here are some helpful reminders when making elections:
Effective Date
Any changes you make during the Open Enrollment period will be effective for January 1, 2025. If you make changes, new ID cards will be mailed out as applicable.
Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
- Medical FSA–this plan does not roll over; if you want to participate, you will need to re-elect coverage for 2025. This is a use it or lose it plan; you are locked into your election for the entire plan year. The Medical FSA is used to pay for qualified medical expenses for you and your dependents.
- Dependent Care FSA–this plan does not roll over; if you want to participate, you will need to re-elect coverage for 2025. This is a use it or lose it plan; you are locked into your election for the entire plan year. The Dependent Care FSA is used to pay for expenses associated with child-care, such as before/after school programs, daycare, summer camps, etc. This is not a program to cover a spouse’s medical expenses; your spouse would be covered as a dependent under a medical FSA plan.
Life Insurance
Cision provides life insurance for employees at 2x their annual salary. If you want to increase your coverage, or add coverage for a spouse, an EOI may be required. Check out the requirements here.
Dependents/ Beneficiaries
For insurance, a covered spouse or child enrolled in a plan is considered a dependent. In order for coverage to be correct, they need an accurate date-of-birth and SSN. Open Enrollment is a great time to ensure this information is accurate. To edit or add a member to your coverage, follow these steps:
UKG > Personal > Contacts > click the existing contact or select “add” > if it’s an existing contact, click “edit” and update their designation as needed.
Changing a contacts status to “Dependent” does not automatically enroll them in coverage. You will need to complete the Open Enrollment wizard and add them to any desired plans.
