Life Assurance

Nothing in life is guaranteed and Life Assurance makes sure that you are prepared for anything unexpected in life.

In the unfortunate event you pass away while working for Cision, your chosen beneficiary will receive a one off, tax-free, lump sum payment of 24 x monthly gross earnings. The cost of the benefit is paid by Cision.

What options are available?

The standard life assurance provided by Cision is an amount of 24 x monthly gross earnings.

You may choose to purchase up to 7 additional packages at your own cost.

How do I enrol?

To enrol in the life insurance, you need to complete the enrolment form by 20th of the month. You will then be covered from 1st of the following month.

If you enrol in the first 3 months of cover being in place you only need to complete a good health statement if the sum insured exceeds PLN 700 000, however after this period of time you will need to complete it regardless of the sum insured.

You can complete the enrolment by using the QR code and then following the process below:

  1. Scan the QR code
    • For registration use your private e-mail address and Google Chrome browser
  2. Registration
    • Fill in the fields
    • Enter your e-mail
    • Find an email from the address grupowe@unum.pl (sometimes it ends up in Spam/Offers)
    • Confirm account activation (without this you can’t continue)
  3. Log in and fill in the fields
    • Personal data
    • Choose the scope of insurance (basic and additional packages)
    • Details of beneficiaries
    • Statements
  4. Click SEND button

If you enrol with cover effective 1st January 2025, 1st February 2025, 1st March 2025, there will be no waiting periods and this also applies to new joiners who apply in the first 3 months after their start date. After this the following waiting periods apply:

  • 3 months – cardiovascular diseases*, dread disease of a child, dread disease of the life insured, lifestyle diseases of the life insured*, oncological diagnosis*, specialized cardiological treatment*, specialized oncological treatment*, specialized treatment of a child*, specialized treatment*, surgical operations of a child, surgical operations of the life insured
  • 1 month – hospitalization of a child, hospitalization of the life insured

*With the provision that when an insurable event takes place during the period of limited liability, 10% of the Sum Insured for the relevant event is payable.

What am I covered for?

Client Portal

All members will get access to the client portal where you can manage your insurance plan, this includes making a claim, purchasing or modifying your cover and access your insurance certificate.

How do I make a claim?

You can make a claim

  • via the client portal
  • by completing an online form unum.pl,
  • by mail (download the claim form and send along with all documents to send all the documents to Unum Życie TUiR S.A.,Dział Wypłaty Świadczeń, al. Jana Pawła II 17, 00-854 Warszawa
  • in person at an Unum agency.

It is important to remember to nominate your beneficiaries and indicate a percentage of the sum insured they should receive. You can nominate or change your beneficiaries at any time by completing and signing a change form, available at unum.pl.

What happens if I want to opt out of this benefit?

You may resign from the Additional Packages each month on your policy monthly anniversary, with the exception of Good Health Cover with U package and Healthy Lifestyle Cover with U package (resignation possible once a year only, on policy anniversary).

In the event of voluntary resignation of the Life Insured from coverage under Unum Contract, the evidence of insurability and the waiting periods shall apply upon re-enrolment.

Working from Home Allowance

We provide all employees who work remotely with a working from home allowance. This is to help with additional expenses incurred while working from home. This allowance is paid monthly into your salary.

Lunch Card

All employees will receive a lunch card as part of their benefit package. This can be used in bars, canteens, restaurants, “Pan Kanapka” catering company, vending machine etc giving you lots of choice of where you can eat during your working day and saving you money at the same time.

You will receive an email invitation to set up a virtual lunch card with Edenred and you should create your account as soon as possible and then start using your card straight away.

Each month your card will be loaded with 190zl for you to use where and when you choose.
